Isaiah 26:3
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Peace is one of the greatest benefits of knowing Jesus as Lord and Savior. There is no real peace without Jesus and there is no real joy without Jesus. There is a popular song titled I can’t get no satisfaction; the reason that many can’t get no satisfaction is because they need Jesus. He is the only way. Jesus makes our lives peaceful. One of the greatest epidemics is all the suicides and drug overdoses that are happening all around us. Jesus came to give us peace and to fill our lives with purpose and meaning. Many of us came to Jesus because we lacked peace. Many Christians have been through so much pain and yet we found out that there is true peace without Jesus. Know Jesus, Know Peace and No Jesus, No Peace.
When we focus on the Word of God and allow Jesus to come into our hearts, our lives are full of meaning and purpose. Jesus came that we could have an abundant life. We often make life harder that it has to me. Jesus is our peace; He is the Answer to us living a victorious life.
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Jesus is the Peace between Jews and Gentiles and all Nations and Kingdoms.
Ephesians 2:14
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
The Peace of Jesus is not temporary nor does it have side effects.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
The Peace of Jesus is so powerfully healing and deep, it transcends all understand.
Philippians 4:7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus..
This is how our lives look without Jesus: A life without Jesus is dry, stale, empty, full of lack, dead, dying, without purpose, filled with a false peace by having to depend drugs (marijuana, meth, heroin, and cocaine etc.), alcohol, porn and sexual immorality. People use these vices to try and fill a void that only Jesus can fill. This is not the abundant life that Jesus Christ came to give us all. Every other thing we use to bring us satisfaction will never work because only Jesus can satisfy the hunger and thirst of the soul. The bible calls this “chasing after the wind”. We learn in Ecclessiates 1:14 “all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind”. This is a vicious cycle and only those who are wise will wake up before it is too late and surrender their lives to Jesus.
The people of the World are hungry, hurting, seeking and thirsty for Jesus; yet they don’t know that Jesus is who they are truly searching for. There is nothing that can satisfy the hunger of the soul, but Jesus. Many atheists and other unbelievers speak bad about Christians because we attend Church, read the Bible, sing praises to God, Pray to God and Christians have acknowledged that we all need to be Saved and Jesus is Savior. Yet those same atheists and unbelievers boldly proclaim how they smoke marijuana, use other drugs and drink alcohol not knowing those actions prove that they cannot cope in this World without taking something to give them a false sense of peace.
Jesus came to give us an Abundant life. Jesus is the Way the Truth and Life. Jesus makes life worth living and He gives us direction and peace. Life can be great, if we allow Jesus to fill our lives. You’ve tried it your way now……Try Him, taste and see that the Lord is Good.
Jesus is the one and only real Peace.
